20 V valve cover
i just install a 20v valve cover on my ve but i notice my spark plug wires dont seal or sit flush on the valve cover. i push the wires down as much as i could to make sure they make contact. is this a common problem , is this something i have to worry about ? the car runs good thought. lmk guys thanks.

Because 20V valve covers are made for 20V cars which have a Coil-Over-Plug ignition system. Not a traditional distributor ignition system. It will allow dirt and moisture to get into the connections. Replace the 20V valve cover with a normal one or upgrade to Coil-Over-Plugs ignition system.

Known issue, cut the skirt off the boot and it will fit perfect. If you are careful, you can get a solid seal as well to prevent dirt and moisture from enterimg the tubes.

Might be worth logging some pictures as you do it to help out others when people search this question in the future (if anyone uses that darn thing)

has anyone tried to bore out the plug wire holes on the 20v valvecover? just curious because it looks like that would allow the use of regular VE plugs?/ just a thought ,I have ZERO experience with that but looked at a 20v motor ad it looks like the head has the bigger holes but the cover is samller holes
