It will be used in autoslalom.
And a sleeper street car.

I like this chassis, its not so heavy and long wheelbase means more stable to drive.

Some inspiration.

Its a decent chassis, clean.
But wouldn't a shorter wheel base chassis perform better in that line of racing? Taking all those high speed cornering in consideration?
Regardless that beast of a motor will haul that g20 through any course.

Headwork
Done some more work this week.
The head is in with camshafts.
Next up is timing the cam and checking piston to valve clearance.
Does anyone know if its possible to lock the rocker to the big lobe without oil pressure?

I think he means for testing P to V clearance.

I am not sure how it is done.

Yes it is just for checking the P to V clearance now in the bench after cam timing.

The Heart of a Record Breaker III: Completing the VVL Head Swap and Engine Assembly

Looks like they made little slugs to do this.

To lock the rocker arms, just push in the middle vvl rocker against the spring so it can slide underneath the middle rocker arm. The cam has to be on the base circle. Rotate the cam, once its on the clearance ramp, you can let go and start measuring.

Degreeing of Cams
Thanks, your procedure worked like a charm KillerKrossover.

I've now adjusted the timing on both cams so intake has max lift at 104 degrees ATDC and exhaust 104 degrees BTDC.
To get here I ended with 1 degree retard on exhaust and 4 degrees advance on intake.
Next up is to measure P to V clearance and assemble the rest of the engine.

Here you can se the VVL rocker out

Just push it with a smal screwdriver while rotating until the cam applies pressure.
