How long is the trial? It was mentioned one use only.

I think he got a basic tune for his mods from somewhere. But it runs real rich and needs a proper tune for cold start and general smoothness

No idea how to do that. I see a USB cable to plug into laptop, but do I just get some free software to download and look at my tune ?

Hey. I did what you suggested and got a trial of nistune running on my laptop. There is a usb cable that is running to the ECU, which I plugged in. But downloading from Nistune give me an error stating I need a consult cable.

One odd thing about nistune is that the base rom packs do not seem to have something for the B14 (type 4). They have 1,2,3,5,6 but no 4. I pulled down a BIN file from
http://www.sr20-forum.com/rom-ecu-tuning-file-exchange/72410-looking-sr20-ve-tune.html

But I didnt really know what to do with it next. My goal was really to find out if my Calum R/T was compatible, which it apparently is. So now its off to the tuner!

Oh. That might help. I thought I read that nistune worked fine via USB but the error message was clear that it needs a consult connection to download the current tune. And I only got one more attempt before the trial expires
