sr20ve into a b15 se-r spec V
Okay, I can get a good deal on a b15 Sentra se-r spec V, blown motor. Already has the 6 speed. Now my question is, is the sr20ve swap as straight forward in a b15 that had the QR motors in as it is in any other car that had a sr20de.

Also will the 6 speed tranny be able to be used or better to find a different tranny.

I am a newb in the motor swap department, but not to much else.

Not as easy, since with a 00-01 SE, it's pull and install.

If you used the SR20 motor mounts from the 00-01 SE... shouldnt they work in the spec-v?

This is what I thought as well. Seems easy on paper, but after thinking about it, seems a lot of parts need changed.

I think the crossmember, mounts, engine harness are the main parts. Basically need a front clip. At that point, it's easier to just find a 00-01 SE to start.

In the orlando area I have seen a few spec v with bad motors sell for in the $1k range and under then you would need a bell housing and flywheel and clutch to work with the 6 speed. Mounts I havnt looked into but nothing a welder can fix.
