all this talk about moving alternators and dinting primarys to making this fit properly. why doesn't someone contact the headers maker, tell them it doesn't quite fit perfect, and get them to modify their jig so future one's do?

spose thats too hard.

Great Idea,YOU should do this. You may be surprised how hard it really is to get in touch with the chinese kids who are making these
I am sure the sellers dont give a damn, the ssac/ebay 4-2-1 never fit right all these years either.I just consider it a compromise for buying cheap knockoff parts

Dude it's just a belt not a big deal. I didn't dent anything and the alternator doesn't need to be modded. The information to get it on as easily as possible is now available. If you can't perform the 2 simple tasks to get it to fit nicely than perhaps it's not for you.

Lost power? hmm this is with same tune just bolted on or with a retune after the new header.
So what is your setup anyway?
You said you had both gspec pullies, but what about the other mods.
cams?
maf?
exhaust?
Thanks again!

not much done to the car to be honest. gspec crank pulley, n1 cams, n62 maf, nismotronic, 2.25 ss vrs exhaust (will change very soon,) 3" intake @ 18in length, bpi velocity stack, fx500 clutch. i dont think there are any other mods on this motor that i can recall. very very basic stuff going on with this motor.

I didnt retune and afr at higher rpm and maf load was dipping into high 11s which may be the cause of my lost 4hp. lower end power seems to have picked up significantly though. i will be retuning it after work today, and fixing up the exhaust a little bit better.

Theres the achilles heel.Otherwise its similar to my setup.

yea i know... i know... doing research on how i want to do a 3" setup while keeping somewhat livable sound levels. im quite partial to an oem resonator of some sort (really good build quality typically) and open to muffler suggestions.
