Tips for running a 90mm TB? I'm having a TPS issue
I recently installed my 90mm universal TB with old style type "brand new" TPS sensor.

I can start cold, warm, idles fine, I can set my idle speed fine also.

Issue is the plate is so HUGE I do most of my driving with it only opening a tad lol.

Whats happening is the TPS voltage is barley changing at all during normal driving causing overrun fuel cut to kick in. (trying to get around that). I'm sure this is affecting my load on the scale too causing drivability issues. It reads fine closed and wot but near nothing at all during driving.

I know lots of you guys have massive TB's here including Q45 85mm units.

Any tuning tips?

Maybe switch to newer Nismotronic? Maybe not the answer you wanted, but that would solve it?

I have the ebay throttle and had similar issues. After replacing the tps multiple times. I changed changed base setting to .9 and it works fine now. My idle is at 1-1200rpm. But I have no idle controls.

U need a 4" intake tube and a q45 maf to keep the velocity up with such a big throttle. That's what I have. Recomended by @SR20GTi-R

I pic would be good, what intake size are you running and what intake manifold? I run a Q45 TB on my ve and have no issues. If you have a cheapo ebay TB it might be leaking at the butterfly axle points (very common with the cheapo units). I have run the Q45 TB on stock ecu cars with no issues but you must pair the TB with its surrounding parts or it will act funny. Give us a list of your setup so we can help you dial the TB in.

Check the tps wiring, and do you seriously need a 90mm monster TB for 150 hp DE? A VE can get away with it because of the small cam.

I'll post pics of the setup. It's a Doug fab custom intake manifold, 90mm throttle body with new tps, 3" intake pipe (quite short), VE 3" maf and pop filter with stack.

And btw last year before intake and 3" exhaust I'm about 165-170 whp. Virtual dyno'd at like 173whp.

.........A 90mm throttle body is overkill for any "normal cam and head" NA DE

It's got stage 3 cams , 3" exhaust and a killer intake manifold. Yes going to a 3.5" intake tube (long) I already have a 3.5" maf n stack will help but I was looking for any help, or tuning tips or tips for tps with massive tb btw
