^^^Point missed as I stated. By all means buy what you want just don't complain when this header only gains 6hp or less over a cheaper option. These headers don't make hp they allow potential hp to be realized. Oh and way to go on quoting rich dad poor dad very original.

As for Fatman489 your building a motor so a header of this calabor is well worth your time and money. I will be watching your build so keep up the work.

I don't expect you all to understand but trust me 1200$s for a header on a built race motor is worth every penny, 1200$ on a stock motor is not. Spend that $ on a nice tig welder and start building your own parts that's what I did. I'm no pro fabricator and I don't work for or own a shop. I work out of my garage and have built a few ve headers and a bunch of turbo manifolds. I was even able to put my own car on the Dyno to test each part, if I can afford it most shops should be able to do the same. Let's see the Dyno numbers because we can talk about it all day but proof is in the pudding. Anyways to all the fabricators that made these headers great work.

I don't think you have a point, you have an opinion. Example, I like blue you might like pink. I like to spend $1000 on cams, someone else might spend it on wheels. Nobody is right or wrong.

This is a hobby. We spend a lot money on these engines and cars that nobody else outside this community will understand, including family and friends. Outside this community, people are probably thinking we are crazy for spending any kind of money on a 15 plus year old cars, so I don't see why you should question him for spending X amount for the header.

SE200 where do you live? how much do you know about Dyno's? Not every dyno reads the same for example my friend went to one dyno shop they tuned his car to 224whp on that dyno. He straps his car down to the dyno we use and clicks off 190whp. So if Raul uses that dyno and say makes 203 or 204 you will no doubt chime in and say not worth it my car made 202. Also fatman is right this hobby is no investment by a long shot.

Correct this is my opinion, and my opinion is based on headers I have built/used on motors I have tuned on the Dyno.

As for my location that's has nothing to do with this thread, I'm not comparing hp numbers just potential hp/tq number changes.

You guys love jumping all over ppl for posting an idea, opinion or anything for that matter. I have built 20+ sr20 powered cars both NA and turbo, I do all my own fabrication and I'm just sharing what I have found to be fact. Ppl spend money in the wrong place on a project and end up loosing stream with progress.

Now that this thread is off topic I'll move on so you guys can continue.

I hate that I have been out of B13s so long .. had I just stayed around the first time I could know as much about these things as some of you guys do so I could know how to make some of these parts myself lol .. but at the end of the day we may all have a difference in opinion but I think we should be more think-tank style as asposed to this mh way vs your way theme im seeing lol . But thats just my opinion on my own observation .. regardless some good info in here .. seems like I learn atleast 1 new useful bit of info every time I poke around here :-)

@se200 If I get a motor for free how much am i to spend on the header, also what if that motor is a type r k20 motor that retails for over 3k using the dollar value of motor retail price to header cost, don't get me wrong i see your point but i have friends who can't even afford a ve to friends that build race motors and where I'm from i have respect for both ends of the spectrum especially when persons tap into that pioneer spirit and find genius solutions

Those specs are money. Same specs as my old 4-1. The one that did 270 on my big bore pump gas set up. Those specs will do great on a std stroke motor. Only thing that will really hurt is that bend after the collector.

Cory care to elaborate for us newbies what you mean a bit more? Is the bend too close to the collector or just to sharp? Im genuinely curious about your opinion as I have seen some of your builds so obviously you know much more about this than I do lol this is why I started this basically just to get a better understanding of what it takes to make a good VVL header .. one day ill get around to starting a convo on the intake side of the head too :-D

Did some dyno tuning with the header. Absolutely 100% satisfied with it. Peak power was at 9100rpm :-O
