To test the maf during idle ground the - probe of your meter then with the maf plugged in contact the + probe to the white wire with black stripe, this should be 12v. If your getting 12v power to the maf then move the probe to the other white wire(this will be the other outside wire as the two center wires are grounds) this is the signal wire and you should see .5-1.8ish volts at idle. If you have no signal voltage check the two grounds for continuity, if they check out your maf might be dead. Good luck I just had this happen to my n62 maf....it sucks

Codes checked, came up with only one. 1,4 - speed sensor. My speedo cable is disconnected at the back of the gauge cluster since the clutch install because its pain in the ass and I didn't get around to connecting it yet

Problem is it won't stay idling

I am going to a U pull it yard tomorrow to get a couple more N60's, I can get them for a decent price, they are from the 89-94 Maxima correct?
I'm getting two of them just in case. And yep I went through every fuse inside the cabin, even the ones that would have nothing to do with the issue just cause it's easier to go down one by one, and all were good.

Again this a pic of my actual pigtail from yesterday. From left to right, can anyone reply with which ones in this photo are which? I think the 2 blacks, (wire 2 and 3) are the grounds (another question, are BOTH grounded to the same wire to the chassis?)

The wire on the very right is the one not used? I don't know what color it is, looks brownish?

And the other 2 (far left white w/ a stripe and 2nd from right, plane white) are 12v and 5v respectively?

You don't need the car to idle. With ign. on this will still work you will just get a lower signal voltage.

the first two posts tell you everything you need to know and i bet you fried something (possibly ecu) doing your trial and error

Use a volt meter and this PDF - http://jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/maf%20Z32%20CONVERT%20TO%20OTHER%20NISSANS.PDF

The image is from the HARNESS side, not the pin side.

Well, it wasn't like I was swapping every wire to every other wire and trying to start it up, I simply tried grounding it with 1 black wire, then grounding it with the other, then grounding it with both. I didn't touch any of the other wires as they were still connected. I can get a new N60 MAF for about 20 bucks. I was going to go to the yard today to pick one up BUT we got about 2 inches of rain today and it's snowing out right now (WTF)?

That is the Z32 MAF correct? I see in the diagram there are 6 wires, mine is 5.

if you just have the MAF disconnected the car should still be able to idle. If it doesn't idle has to be a vac leak somewhere. That what i learned through my experience with my b14. In some cases it might be different where you pull the MAF and it idles rough. Just throwing out another possible cause to you dilemma.
