Thread: Modified Xcessive plenum kit

Im modifying Xcessive P11 plenum kit for my friend with SR20VE swapped N15. Car has custom Tri-Y manifold, 2.5" exhaust, N1 cams and Nistune ECU.

- longer spacer to get more runners lenght
- oval velocity stacks to add runners lenght and better airflow
- Q45 TB with 45° angle pipe
- 3.5" intake pipe with built-in MAF sensor
- 3.5" custom velocity stack with JWT filter

I will post more pictures later, when project moves forward. Im hoping for better results than with "stock" plenum kit.

Looks good. I wanna do the same to mine. But don't have the skills for that.

I'm doing something similar but on a centre fed xcessive plenum and longer runners.

On a side note, I'm surprised there aren't more people using the xcessive centre fed plenum with the p11 adaptor plate. The price is the same!

It's not because we don't want to, it's because of fitment problem. Not enough room for clean center feed setup, with the least amount of bends. Do some measurements and you will see.

hey Jagy, if you havent bought the intake arm yet, try going 4" from filter and then necking down to 3.5" on to the Q45 maf and TB.

Just some information from experience If you are going to use a 3.5 intake you need to make it as long as possible with no radical bends I just tried a shorter one on my car on the dyno just to keep the headlight and lost power with the longer one coming out of the headlight boom power came back!! Just sharing my experience!!

How much power we talking about? more than 5whp?

Went from 239 @ 160 to 249 @ 172 Maybe its a combination of higher velocity and colder air!!

SR20-AUTECH: I dont like center-fed because of fitment problems. Too bad we dont have exhaust in back and intake in front...

Payu: thanks for suggestion. We have Xcessive 45° bend and then it will be just straight pipe to headlight (battery in trunk).
