I think I wouldn't be comfortable with running an undamped pulley in an engine that regularly hit close to 9000 rpms. Appreciate your opinion though.

ATI Super Damper or a new OEM unit is the best medicine I can prescribe.

Stick to oem VE/RR or get ATI like Kyle mentioned. I used to have a G Spec lightweight pulley on my VE, above 7k rpm it had a very odd noise, installed stock crank pulley and bam it's gone, high RPM needs proper balancing.

Those aftermarket pulleys have no dampening. The extra vibrations could be detrimental to a high rpm application. High revving 4 cyl engins with solid motor mounts are notorious for this.

I've had both the G-spec underdrive crank and water pump pulley for 2 years in my car and hit 8200RPM like, at least every time I drive the car (hibernating for now but usually once a week) and never had a problem

he races on a track at high rpms all day while you race with your mom in the car from a stop light. big difference sir

Hahah, that was for one video. It's gotten like 6,000 views too, more than "Mom rides in 600HP Supra" videos etc.

I know that Greg would obviously want people to buy his stuff, but I've had either his pulleys or UR's on all my SR20's except 1 and did plenty of auto-x and tracking, no problems. But as always individual results may vary

There is a piece of rubber that bonds both parts of the crank pulley together. It is not easy to see but if it has failed, then you will either be missing half of the pulley or be able to free spin it with the engine off.

Best replacement options: OE Nissan or ATI. Personally I run OE Nissan crank pulleys on all of my engines at this time - however I do intend to run the ATI on my next engine build. I do not run the UR style crank pulley because of the harmonic balancing. Running the UR style on the P/S, W/P or Alternator is fine and can help.
