3.5 inch intake pipe into stock tb/afm
Figured I would ask this as I currently have a q45 afm on the car and a 3.5 inch intake pipe with the stock tb from when I ran the xcessive plenum. I'm going back to a stock afm and was wondering was it worth leaving the intake pipe at 3.5 or would I possibly see a loss?

The setup would be as follows:- Ported stock intake>port matched tb>2.75 to 3.5inch 45 degree bend>3.5inch pipe>3 to 3.5 inch hose>3 inch VE afm> 3 inch to 3.5 hose> velocity stack. And tune played with after

Or would it be better to just get a few 3 inch couplers and what not and make the entire intake 3 inch again with 3 inch pipe.

Thanks

Too many size changes. I'd try to stay with one size. Diameter changes can cause problems because you have a large area that needs to fill up with air to move in then it gets choked b/c it gets smaller etc.

although only a dyno would tell the truth for sure

Yeah I would suggest keeping any necessary diameter changes to a minimum keeping in mind a larger diameter pipe means a slower velocity of the intake charge.
