So this is what i did, went to a local shop to change the oil, and did a flush on it, apparently they conect something instead of the oil filter and also in the oil pan. Then some kind of cleaning solution runs inside the engine(turned off) and clean some of the sludge out. i have done it several times on my other engine and it never did anything bad.

After that i did the oil change with Castrol Magnatec 10w40 and the car feels better probably because of the new oil. Im going to do oil changes every 1000 to 1500 miles... to get everything clean...

Thanks for all the help!!

Ill pull the valve cover off in a few days to see how it is going...

Its API ratings cover gasoline engines as well. If you have emissions equipment still on your car, Its not recommended to run this oil.

You should remove the cam caps/oil spray bars and thoroughly clean them (outside of the engine). This is a simple task, just follow the FSM torque specification/sequence.

If it were me, I would drop and clean the pans as well as check the pick-up for any debris.

Hopefully the flush has been a positive for the situation and hopefully you continue to use a 10-40 oil (You do not need a 20W-50 engine oil for a daily driven n/a SR20). The engine will take care of the rest of the gunk with short OCI's.

The previous owner of my G20 did not understand what maintenance was. SAE 5W-30 Penzoil yellow bottle and frequent oil changes has cleaned it up quite a bit.

Good luck.

After that cleaning... I would change the oil and filter very frequently for the next few weeks and then slowly extend the interval
