I understand what you guys are saying but this is the level where I tell guys they need to have the stomach for the N/A game with the SR20. Yeah, you can make a cheap 190-200whp VE setup with a 100$ header, homemade 3" intake/exhaust, N1 cams, and a tune. What is left after that? A 300$ intake plenum?

Not knocking you guys saying otherwise, I understand 800$ is not something people throw around. Its part of the game though. Save for another month or whatever it takes and buy a decent piece. They took the time to actually R&D a header for us, respect it. It is also the first header they are trying to put into production. Cost of material is not cheap and having someone to make an excellent finished product with a warranty at that, is not going to be cheap. Do not expect insane gains of 20whp from a header change either. Keep in mind especially on a stock longblock VE, there is only so much the motor will respond to.

I will just say, if you are not happy with a 200-215whp car before dishing out decent coin for more power, reevaluate what your goal is, and possibly go boost.

IJS.

totally agree with all this.

if someones gone the budget route (stock ve) for say 2 grand, or stock with bolt ons (n1 cams, daughter board, tune ) for 3-3.5k, then the idea of another grand just for extractors isn't gunna seem like a great idea.

if someones gone the next step (and its a BIG step), raised the compression, tricky head, balance, blueprint,1k on custom intake, and there looking for the best extractors/ system to tie in all up, then this may fit right in.

next check out the opposition's headers which you can easily buy (other then the cheapie's which this has beaten)....fuji ($800) jmr's ($900).

i've asked multiple outlets to copy the burns (asp 4-1) header, and there all $1300-1600.

the ONLY way anyone is getting a cheaper header is if someone takes "THE" best ve header to china, and gets a hundred? copies made. most company"s wont entertain that idea easily. or, as previously stated, you knock one up from a honda . my 2c...

We should all be thanking @TRACKFORGED for taking the time to develop, test, and make a header. Others have come and gone before them and when people see the price tag they complain and go buy the SSAC header. For those who are a little more serious it is nice to see someone still taking the risk and making a quality product.

So after a lot of working out numbers and really trying to make it all work. Here is the pricing, this is for all materials and the time it takes my guy to put these together. If we can get an initial run of 5 at a time I can knock the price down a few bucks.

Option A: $895 shipped in the continental USA
header will be flanged all the way to the catback. Which will include flexpipe, hangers, 2bolt flanges, and 2bolt gaskets. (Limited lifetime warranty)

Option B: $695 shipped in the continental USA
Will only run out to under the front axle with no flange. This will leave you the option to build the rest your own way. (Will not come with a warranty due to not coming with a flex section and rear section)

Fantastic looking product, and thank you for continuing to improve the SR20VE community.

What would the potential of a partially built option A shipped to New Zealand?
Partially complete as in the minimum amount of work to complete the header once it was delivered?
The reason for the 'partial build' being that the SHIPPING would be reduced if it was shipped as a 'flat pack', also by not being complete would mean that the duties and taxes once it reaches NZ would also be reduced; making it a realistic option.
Otherwise, due to the NZ customs and taxes it becomes crazy expensive; though want very much!

I am a little confused as to what you are asking. Option A would be a full complete header all the way back to the cat-back flange. This header we can break it down and fit it in a Flat pack if needed. As with any of our "international customers" we tend to help the customer by send an invoice for the less amount so that customs and duty fees are much less. I do not know the exact shipping amount, but when I ship our Celica Midpipes internationally it's about $150-$200.

know what he's talking about, but you have answered his question. the ability to flat pack and freight stuff at a good rate is paramount. to give you an idea, jmr headers were on ebay at $900 PLUS $1000 freight to aus. cant blame a bloke for being nervous.
