Help.... SR20VE with SR16VE non N1 pistons
Hi guys I need your help
I'm going to use some 16ve pistons in my 20ve but I do not know if I need to modify the 16ve...
I use 91oct gas and is my DD
Finally what about the gains of do that ?
Thanks

16ve pistons with 86mm stroke will yield 13.0-13.2:1 CR. I doubt that can be tuned to be driven as DD on 91 octane.

They say every 1mm cut off the piston (not sure if it's the entire top of piston or just the valve relief), will lower cr by 0.5. Guess others may chime in on this.

Good luck.

Peace

English guys, so other people can read too!

OT: Shave off 1 mm off the pistons and put in a slightly thicker head-gasket to get 12,5:1 CR, and start saving money for 93 (or higher) octane fuel.

Don't forget to notch the piston skirt for the oil squirters.
