Because there are more 2.5 transmission readily available almost everywhere in the US and that is simply not true for a 20v anything.

From all the P12 20v cars ive seen in NewZealand, i have yet to see one with Hlsd. Ive checked the build plate on every one ive come accross and they all say open diff.

There are a few floating around that are badged Autech, but these tend to be very basic spec, these cars were all driving school cars in Japan, and some still have remains or dual control pedals etc. Def nothing performance based by Autech.

I dont think anyone was doubting that. I've just never heard that lsd can be installed in it.

Same identical cases

The spec v is a 2.5 motor and the 20v is of coarse from a 2.0. So the bell housings had to be transferred to the spec v for it to work on our 2.0 motors

The 20v trans is more specd for an all motor setup with the 4.7 final that it has, the 04 to 06 are more geared towards the turbo guys

If thats the case, I think this was a total blunder by Nissan again but that not to surprising these days

Yeah, let me list some more for you, as it see it.

The N1 N15 Pulsar should have been 2000cc.

The TEV P11 Sr20ve should have been available in manual transmission.

The P12 20v should have had the GT Xtrail engine, or at least like you say a HLSD fitted, the suspension is completely different to a normal P12, as its the sports car of the range and handles brilliantly.

Any of these would have been so easy, yet Nissan chose not to go there.
