Exhaust poll
Bought a VE'd B13 the other day and it has a 2.5" crush-bent exhaust on it with a no-name muffler and no resonator. I do have a set of N1 cams that i will be installing. I am willing to give up some power for a quieter car.

It's pretty loud and raspy, so I am looking to make it quieter since I am old.

So, here are the options right in front of me at this time.

this if you can get it to fit, with the longest resonator you can find. done. really quiet but flows heaps.

So, I guess the magical question is..........will the 3" be quiet enough for my old ass or is it all about the power?

Louvered core will keep it quieter than a perforated core for a resonator.

I am not sure what type it has in it. It's a 3" mandrel system I got from Isidro probably about 10-12 years ago.... I'll look at it when I get home tonight.

I would go 3" exhaust. Do two back to back, long resonators and finish off with an Apex'i WS2. It will be quiet on the low cam and will not be too obnoxious on the high cam.

Well, I am trying to use a system I already have. I have 4 at my disposal.....

The 3" is a mandrel bent system with probably a 24" resonator, then the Apexi WS2

Got the 3" on last night. Under throttle is about the same noise level, but the rasp is gone. Cruising down the freeway is quieter also. Power is better in upper RPM's. Thanks for the input from everyone..

Now I guess i just need to get the interior back in the car and it should be okay at that point. Car was purchased without carpet and rear seat.
