I have seen a cp wrist pin lock fail before(vq35). I would like to see what exactly caused this. Sucks that its big bore coffee table.

chuckled at @cortrim1 s post

and sorry docG... as I said ive seen that type of damage up close and it was a wristpin related issue. so pull it up to confirm, but it aint detonation sir.

theyll most likely tell you it was an installation error.

but i think you should talk to your "professional" engine builder...

I need to pull the motor and kinda busy with work and exams at the moment. Will have it out in say a week.

But I've searched the net and there are many similar examples to mine which seems to be heat or lubrication related.
