Thread: Muffler for 3" exhaust

I am just curious what cheap 3" in muffler would work best on mandrel bend 3" exhaust? I have zero interest it being some fancy shiny muffler and what not. Chances are I'd just end up painting it matte black anyways(California cops love shiny parts).

Btw, if noise is not your concern, why not just get some real cheap 3" or 3.5" glass pack muffler from ebay ?

Oh no! Noise would be big thing, more quite the better but I'm not looking for something like those fancy stainless steel with a sweet tip. Just a basic muffler along the lines of cheap but functional. I will be running with a resonator as well.

I use a magnaflo dual tip,3"in 2.5" out. And 2 vibrant resonators,it's nice and has nice tone. Even while on the high cams.

2 resonators?! I plan on getting the cams once I finish my swap and everything is settled in.

I always try to get the biggest I can get in there.

quiet but will flow good. any of the dynomax super turbo's will be ok. dynomax describe the sound as "mellow". i would agree at low rpms. heads will still turn at high rpms. inside drone with a big long resonator is quite good.
