I need help shimming VE valves
Anyone near Greenville SC that can help me shim these valves on my VE-T? I dont have the special tool and not sure exactly what i need to get the job done so let me know. I will be willing to pay for your time and gas. Thanks in advanced.

Its very straight forward. Its been covered a lot, I know I've gone through and explained it before .. but basically all you need is a feeler gauge, and shims. The thing to remember is only do one shim per rocker at a time... drop one shim in for each rocker, the bolt the cam down and take your first measurements and go from there...

You can get the "hot cams" kits on ebay, or I prefer your local Harley Davidson dealer. Their vrod motors actually use shims that are a perfect match available in different sizes...and very cheap.

You will know for sure if you did one improperly. The hardest part, surprisingly, was getting them all to seat properly in the retainers. I ended up messing one up and had a nasty clicking noise for awhile, thought it was a stuck injector, until pulled the VC and it was the seating. just be careful and double check your work
