Yes, 91 Octane. For some reason, although we set the Rev to 8100, it wasn't responding to it and still cut off at 7600. Not sure why Tunerpor was not allowing a higher rev limiter.

WIll this affect the tune?

only in the area of the switch over point as u may need to adjust timing and fuel in that region

Ok thanx.

get the Nismo tronics with the step down harness.

Why the step down harness isn't there an ecu for the obd2?

nistune has the odb2. Nismotronic is odb1, might seem like a pain in the ass but you will be able to set your rev limiter where ever you like with it. U can kick your vvl with it too and your going to love this..... Launch control. Get a wideband too and if you need help to hammer out a map hit me up and ill ride shot gun and tune it.

Sounds like a plan. What wideband do you think would be best?

I'm partial to the Zeitronix wideband lol. I support local company's. Get the ZT-3 with the sensor it's $169 and the company is in Socal. If you had a turbo car I'd tell you to get the ZT-2.

i've got a zt-2, but the zt-3 would be just as good with nismotronic sense you dont need to use any of the special stuff an its cheaper.. be sure to get the bundle with a gauge tho.

hey zg. you have a calum rt ecu? if so, you can't "tune" above 8k but you CAN set the rev limiter to "no limit" in tuner pro rt if you want. the ecu "interpolates" the last (highest rpm) values so the "tune" will not change above that point. but you can still rev to whatever you feel is safe.
also, i HIGHLY recommend a wide band o2, and a way to monitor it in the cockpit in real time.

I think my Rev limiter is just off. I can rev it to 8 now...but at the dyno he said it cut off at 7600. If i changed the VVL switch higher, would i have to re-tune? I guess it is set to 4800 which is pretty low i think. I will defninitely get a wide band. Next on small parts list after I find a B15 tranny.
