Peace

just an fyi....you can actually go -6 on the ex N1 cam, on a VE that hasn't had the head off. my bolt -on 2.0 picked up a little power across the board @-6 vs -5.

That has nothing to do with peak power.

Usually 54-5600rpm for N1s.

With all due respect.. I raised my VVL activation to 5800rpm and made 199hp peak. Then for the next run I put it at 5100 and made 206hp peak. I didn't try anything lower than that, because well, I only was doing 4 runs. Next time I go I will try it at 4900 or something.

With all due respect!!! Peak power doesnt get affected by cam activation period you change in power came from engine getting hotter VE's make more power as they get closer to operating temp!!

Dont get me wrong!! My car with N1's I can activate cams as low as 4800rpm but you have to be able to change your timing and fuel maps to do it and get good results!!

Solid numbers, but yeah the AFR could definitely be a little leaner up top.

And from what I've seen here in Australia, high cam activation point can have a definite impact on peak power!
Cozzmo lowered his high cam point by i think 800rpm and lost somewhere in the order of 10-15 peak hp!
