Cam setting was recommended by Payu and worked best on the dyno.

The header will net you a good amount more like 10whp and a nice bump in torque too!!!
Get a better IM and will give you some more top end WHP
Cam activation will be different on every car!!!
It will be determined on the Dyno and will vary depending on CR of the motor camshaft used cam gears setting header and IM used so there wont be a universal cam activation point for all motors!!!

What's your mods? I noticed it said 13.6 in your signature.

At the time it made 190whp, it had the following:
16ve cams +3, -5 [thanks to Payu]
3" exhaust & modified ssac
Chipped ecu
JWT pop charger

It did 13.9 seconds on the quarter on street tyres with just seats removed.

The 13.6 is on slicks [incorrect size I may add], with N1 cams @ +5, -5 with only seats removed - and 195whp.

I also did same 13.9 on street tyres with N1 cams

Peace

you should have kept it bredda that car could have pulled like a bitch and thanks for the effort with those goodies
peace

I have seen cars over 200whp on standard SR16 camshafts even on stock compression!! with good header and IM combo will do it!!

SSAC header
2.25" exhaust
JWT filter w/ velocity stack
Nistune ECU dyno tuned

Car is waiting for Tri-Y header, 3" intake and 3" exhaust. Hope to see 200whp mark.

Did you tried making AF'r a little bit linear and leaner up top!! My car like more like 13.2 at peak power and it make more whp like that at least on shell 91 octane pump gas!!

try just doing a exhaust upgrade first and see what happens.... then go from there

Payu: I told him to focus on 13:1 AFR or so as i wasnt there (very far from me), but his tuner apparently didnt follow that idea. Its clearly visible from graph that 13-13.5:1 AFR worked best.

I will be doing custom IM this year, so we will see... but we will be happy with 200whp with new Tri-Y, intake and 3" exhaust. As he has to focus on other aspect of car too. Btw. race tires was like 1200usd/set.

So would it be safe to say, with Sr16 cams, +3/-5 on cam gears is the set up and +5/-5 for N1's with basic bolt ons?

* regardless of minor differences in specs, this worked for Payu, myself and at least 3 other persons I know. Cant say it was the BEST setting as I never tried any other than 0,0. Was better than 0,0 by far.

** Also worked for me better than 0,0. Cant say if it is the BEST as I didnt try anything other than +5,-5 and 0,0. Some people will say 0,0.

At the ends of the day it's up to each person/tuner to play around with settings on the dyno.

Peace

That engine will pull sick numbers when you get a bigger exhaust, the 2.25 is killing it..
