Im in the same boat..i have Sr16 pistons but i am told it wont work here in Cali because we only have '91. I do have access to get it tuned...but will this be the right direction for me? THis is a Street driven car.

Good stuff.

NO turbo. Already had my fun w/turbo in old S13 back in the day. NO stroker kit, they belong in RWD machine.

If I rebuild, it will be 8cw crank hands down. I'm not rebuilding it myself either. No experience grinding/cleaning up the crank, balancing or porting a motor. Machine shop can flow test the head for me.

Yes, I'm thinking about shaving/skimming 1mm of the top to stay on pump gas. Also, I like the Mazworx 88mm 12.5:1 piston. About 2x the cost of my sr16ve pistons w/rings. Very tempting. I can spend some more $$$. That's not the biggest issue. I just want to do it right the 1st time around with this project. Maybe my last for a long time. I will be very limited on time for cars in the near future. 1st kid almost here. And, gotta really focus on career/website.

squirlz, you gotta dyno your setup. I'd luv to see what kind of whp you're making.

I agree with selling the sr16 pistons and getting 88mm cp 12.5:1 pistons if you are going through the hassle of rebuilding the engine. The p10 is heavier than a b13 or b14 so the more power the better. Later down the line you should get a bottle and have some real fun

As soon as the snow melts and the dyno is back up it will be going. Only a few minor things to do before then. On pump gas, I am thinking it will be around what Justin's is, If i go E85 i would guess a few more. The whole plan for my build was to stay on pump gas though, thus the 12.5:1.

I'm running sr16 pistons after seeing bes' success. I love it and I still haven't gotten to better supporting mods so they will only shine brighter with more mods.
But If ur boring the block 88mm 12.5 would be sweet.
