<----has seen exactly one B12 in the last like, two years. It was in good condition.

My dad's first Sentra was an 1988 Sentra. That's what started it all, because he loved it so much. He drove it an hour each day and back to work, then traded it in for a (then brand new) 1993 Sentra XE.... and a few years later it was mine. I would not be here if not for that little B12 back then.

ANYWAYS..

as far as the 92 SE-R as the subject of this thread - the engine and trans are back together in the car. machine shop cleaned the holes.

Started it up today. Let it idle for a few minutes then gave it a little gas. F'in things ROARS now. It appears, at least in sound, that the port and polishing, valve job, seemed to help.

I have to take it easy because there's still some coolant in the oil, even though we just changed it.

Going to drive it for the first time tomorrow and change the oil after about 50 miles.

Will post vids.

works great plus it's adjustable

also here's a pic of an old headgasket that was giving some problems. If I removed the rad cap with engine running I could see some tiny bubbles coming up, even below operational temp. Apparently it rusted very bad, and I'm guessing it was causing some separation in between the layers of the HG.

It performed great for a good 5 years!
. This explains a lot !!! I re-used a metal head gasket on a VE rebuild and now I get small bubbles too ! Should have ordered a new one. Live and learn I guess.
