For turbo applications, there really doesnt have to be any testing, research, or anything special involved in making an intake manifold, in the turbo world, its all about flow....bigger runners and head ported to match and large volume plenum with smooth transition from plenum to runners for a smooth flow, 3 Liter or larger depending on revs and size of turbo. Simple as that. No R&D required. The N/A world, its completely different and yes a lot of R&D is required because pretty much every setup would require a different designed manifold to make the best power.
Turbo guys have it easy for manifolds.
