I gotta try and dig some up. Was on a lowered b13 for testing and smacked the bottom primaries to where the header was glowing red. So yeah, she will be needing a repair along with jesus lol. I would like to test it vs the new header.

Then I got rid of that header, sold it to Bes. Maybe he's got some pics. The header I went with after that was kind of a bisi type of design where the collector was positioned above the pan. It pointed down then the downpipe routed under the pan. Same way my current header is, just dumps to the side.

The header ate even worse shit due to these shitty NE roads so it may be a total loss and used for parts.

So you did use this header on you 2.3L motor the whole time, as in current? I though the 2.3L was making great power hehe? Thats crazy if you made all that power with the smashed in header!

Were your plans on just going with the new header coming available/custom version for the spring ?

Thanks Cory!

Of the 3 pics you posted, they are 2 seperate headers right? One looks to have huge 2" primarys and a 2.5" collector. The third pic (which is what you said you currently use) appears to have 1 3/4" primarys and a 2.25" collector?
The first 2 pics are your motor right? So what made you go with the later header then the other?

This is what im trying to accomplish with the b18 4 to 1 header i have. The roads are shit here on the east coast and full of pot holes! So i wanted as much ground clearance as i can get and that means having the collector on the front of motor. which is still in progress It might not turn out great but its worth a try. I got it used and cheap! The issues i think i will run into with my custom header is the primarys will only be 20-21" long. I will also be first trying the header out with the stock 2.5" collector. If it runs like shit i will go with a 2.25" exit after the collector. With the bend it has a reverse megaphone is out of the question i think. I'm crossing my fingers with it. It will be replacing my current pacesetter header.

Does anyone have a guess at how a modded de will respond to the shorter 20-21" legnth primarys?

I used it in the very beginning/break-in period of my 2.3. I ran a similar 4-1 header but large primarys as well as a huge choke.

Currently have a custom spec'd header being built for my specific setup so car will be down until then.

It did do well when it was on my 2.3. Made 270whp and held power all the way to 9500rpm.

If you've seen the asp race stepped 4-1 its basically the same routing.

Yeah it was crushed when I had it on my 2.0. It make good power. Once we tried it on the 2.3, mine didn't like it. I gained up to 40whp switching to a bigger header. Then again, the crush wasn't helping the flow.
