I seen your old thread about your custom 4 to 1 header you had a guy make for you. NICE! I also read that you later removed 3-5 inches off the primarys?

IIRC it had about 30" long primarys before it was cut.

Would you be so kind as to post pics of what your header looked like afterwards? I think all the pics online were BEFORE pics.

Thanks

Wow that was a long time ago. Yeah, I ended up really doing to collector and chipping the primaries down to about 23in... there are pics in my build thread. But ill see if I can dig up some pics and post them up...

Here is how it is routed. The collector is as far up as I could go. Its right at the 90° under the oil pan. Bes has the header now. It absolutely rocked on my 2.0 and 2.3ve.

Seems like the 2.25 choke its not that restrictive as many think!!! An good for up to 295 and 223 wtq on the 2.4!!

Tube size/length plays a larger role than choke.

Also I believe the collector volume and angle of the choke is a lot more important than people think.

Cory, isnt this a before pic of the header?

This is why i was curious and wanted "after" pics. The collector is already as far to the front of the motor as it could go. Besides maybe an inch or two. I thought you had mounted the collector up in front of the block.

Maybe BES can chime in with some pics?

What header are you running now Cory, if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks

It did well on my high comp 2.0. Unfortunately, the car used to be very low so it smashed hard. It didn't do well on my 2.3 motor but again, it was smashed. I'll have to go pick the header up. The header ate even worse shit due to these shitty NE roads so it may be a total loss and used for parts.

Yes. Those are the before pics. What we did to loose so much length is ditch the slip fit. The collector moved up a lot. Also the old collector was way too steep and the transition back to 3in was not smooth enough. The changes gained a lot of power!

Then I got rid of that header, sold it to Bes. Maybe he's got some pics. The header I went with after that was kind of a bisi type of design where the collector was positioned above the pan. It pointed down then the downpipe routed under the pan. Same way my current header is, just dumps to the side.

And here is the header I run currently

You have any pics of my old header? Are you going to give it another try or are you selling it? I heard you may be.
