1 hour of run time and the engine knocks!!!
This is what the bearings look like after and 1 hour max idle tuning.

Are ACL bearings STD oversized?
This is happens to 3 motors already.

I'm using 54c rods/pistons.

OEM VE main bearings.

Any ideas?

54C rods, aren't those from the GTiR DET?

If so, which version of the ACL bearings did you use? The regular SR20DE(T) bearings or the GTiR DET ones?

Also, which crank?

Hmm, I might have mixed up a few things, I always thought the GTiR rods and crank were 2 mm bigger in diameter, but it looks like it's just 2 mm wider. And that should work.

Anyways, wouldn't it be a possibility that they were too small in diameter? That you would've needed an oversized bearing instead of STD?

You didn't clean your crank well enough IMO, there was still gunk left in the oil passages.
