Ok so Im going to try a launch in second like some suggested. And oh i have the 4.44 gears

how safe is this for us low powered cars?

Safe? well probably not that good of an idea to do it all that often. I launched in 2nd and the car bogged a bit as expected but at least no tire spin. It really sucks that my 1st gear is so pointless. I have the 4.44 final drive Gspec gears and that makes it an even shorter gear. The tires also kind of suck too, some no name brand directionals, and theyre mounted on 15" rota slipstreams, a light wheel, which probably also contributes to the problem. I'm thinking of throwing on some heavier 16" wheels on to see if it makes a difference, although of course that would add more rolling resistance and cut down my trap speeds.

Oh and this is not because I can't launch, I've been dragging at the raceways for 12 years and know how to launch a FWD SR20 with LSD. Its just too much power to get traction, just over 200whp, so I have massive respect for you guys with the 400hp monsters who can launch in 1st.

I'm sure it might be when your finish setting your car up.I wish I only had to worry about 1st. On low boost i can't keep 4th from spinning. I'm changing the spring i my wastegate just so I can stop spinning my slicks as much in 1st and second.On that car some drag radials should do the trick.

Welded up B13 tranny. Welded "where they crack"

Lol yeah, the cutout is closed there so all that is heard is the intake with the v-stack. Once the cutout is open it is deafening.
