E85 fuel for hi comp ve?
Hi I live in Australia and e85 is easily to get now. I'm building a hi comp ve and il like to run it on e85.but il to know if it worth while doing so?

It will definitely allow you to run higher compression ratios. I run it on my 14.3:1 set up.

Which servo's do you guys get the E85 from in Aus?
I don't think there are too many up in Brisbane that have it.

Also, would be a good idea to see if you can use an E-Flex sensor with the ECU that you are going to be running. Because not all "E85" out of pumps is actually a true 85% Ethanol blend.
Disregard that if though if you are buying it by the barrel through a distributor.

e85 would be a great idea for any application that will produce allot of heat including yours.

Heaps on the southside man. I have 3 Caltex's within 20 minutes that sell E85.
You're on the Northside though right? Like right near Gerry? Adam has said there is shit all on the northside...E85 would be a blessing for your motor though beebs.

Nah im on the West Side/closer to the city. Yeh I'll look into it when i upgrade cams etc and start to really take advantage of the extra compression.

Just be sure to invest in a 255 and some 370cc or bigger injectors and braided fuel line when you initially install the VE. That way the switch to E85 will be much more hassle free

Yeh already got a 255 Walbro in the car.
Will upgrade to 370s+ when i go cams and will probs re-do the lines and all that then.
