for comparison im running a 20de block with 16ve pistons and a stock 20ve head (ie standard 20v cams etc) i have itb's and making 161rwhp on 98 octane fuel.

180 at the rears should be easy enough if you add some goodies

I think that's a little low on the power side, might want to add if you are running an ECU that has a base map for something or just a straight SR20VE ECU.

Dynometers, altitude etc varies, but the power seems a bit low, even for a RWD. My guess is that would be about 180whp fir a fwd set up so, still low for those pistons, itbs and octane.

Is it tuned?

Peace

Yeah it has been tuned, running autronic ecu

Like you say all dynos read different, and this
car is running a large toyota hilux rear axle which
may add to drivetrain loss

Australia?? I'm guessing is where you live since I know about Autronic and how wonderful a system it is for tuning, I have a shop down here in Texas that is a distributor for them when they were around, had a bunch of them instock.

I know I'm bringing this thread back from the dead. But i want others to know the answer to this as well.

How did u guys calculate the CR going from DET to VE? I've calculated it, and i end up with 9:1 if i start off with 8.5 CR, not 9.3 as stated in this thread

Volume in sr20det combustion chamber is 45cc, sr20ve head is 41cc. So other than that, there are no other differences as he's using the same DET pistons. Throw all this data into the calculator and I don't get any more than 9.1 CR.
