vet blowing dipstick?
i have just turbo-ed my ve last week and as it hits boost it blows the dipstick . I have a catch-can installed tried a few different setups with it, while it is better, it still pops just as boost is building. i have a t2860rs & hybrid 20vlow& n1 high cams.

looking through pictures of engine bays , i noticed that most don't even run a catch can. i have ordered a new pcv and dipstick .

sounds like a lot of crankcase pressure. start with that pcv and see how it goes

You check your compression, blowing out your dipstick out is usually a sign of cracked ring landings on your pistons.

crap, hope not.
i will see how the valve goes trying to find out which sti one may also work. then a compression test i guess

  1. Is the Valve cover breather connected to the turbo intake? Before the turbo that is.
  2. Remove the PCV valve shake it, blow into the end that connects to the manifold, it should not let air through.
  3. Do a compression test or a leak down test

Yea buddy, drove that thing home 4 hours after that..

Ran ok despite having cracked the ring landings on all 4 pistons.
