Thread: Vvl related stuff on newer maxima?

Clipped the harness and took the solenoids. Free.

What I had meant to say was that the IACV solenoid on the VE and the newer Maxima are the same. (Purple connector and all). There is also a blue connector somewhere on the maxima harness (easily visible from the same area) that can be used for one of the VVL solenoids (not the knock sensor style connector, the other.)

Is some random person going to have a non-running Maxima now?

Junk yard diving today. The solenoid itself is the same as the iacv solenoid on the 've. There's a blue connector that works on the vvl solenoid, but it's not 100% the right connector.

I should also note that I confirmed the blue connector to work by applying 12v to the pigtail and the solenoid clicked open.

Oh cool, I might have to do this to replace the stupid leaky exhaust solenoid.

Please don't misunderstand me. I was in a rush and typing from my phone. What I said was incorrect.

I meant to say that the IACV solenoid (purple connector) is the same on the Maxima. And that the blue plug I took a picture of will work with the right VVL solenoid, though it's not a perfect fit it's still snug and does the job.

IDK what I was thinking, I was in such a rush at the yard when I typed that shit up. It's HOT out there.

Anyway, this stuff is from the VQ30 equipped maximas. So like 95-99 area.

A lot of the nissans from early 90's up to late 90's use similar parts for the idle air control.

Oh well, I believe Miko has said that B15-B16 Sentra's have similar solenoids as our VE's at once.
