GSpec Adjustable FPR
Fuel Pressure regulator

Is it really worth it to add an adjustable fpr to a VE? Fairly stock, Headers, 3" exhaust, intake, p10 lsd trans, will be adding an overdrive water pump pulley...

Just deciding if I should add it or not, I have it but not hooked up. and quite frankly I am not sure about how to operate it so I rather not screw up my motor... naturally aspirated of course.

I've gotten conflicting reports and just would like a broader view of opinions than the two that i have gotten.

Every part I've gotten from Greg has been awesome.. so I'd say yes.. but I have no experience with this actual product

If your fuel pressure is at 3bar and no fluctuation issues there is no need to change it. It can be useful during tuning so its nice to have. If i were you i would throw it on with a gauge for a little piece of mind.

If you are not sure if you need it or why you need it then you don't need it because its not worth it.

I used this on my VE. Later on i took it off. I didnt find it useful since my fuel was controlled through nistune.

For NA VE without the whole overboring deal stick with stock 333cc injectors at 3 bar. They top out at well above 200whp, thus you shouldn't ever get above 80% duty cycle on them anyway.

Turbo on the other hand can benefit from a raising rate adjustable FPR, you can take 370cc injectors and make them be 420cc at 4 bar. Which gives you a higher, 290whp, limit on them.

^^

however....if you have a wideband and noticed that you're running lean, and have no other means of adjusting the afr's, then it may help you.
