Dont see many de's that run that hard. And that was with stock 20ve cams. I know my old full bolt on 91 se-r that ran 14.3@97 on street tires didnt pull like that. Not even close.

While I love the sound when I want to hear it, at WOT, I don't particularly like it when it happens and I'm not trying to do it (merging on the highway or downshifting around a turn during casual driving) - it has an annoying buzzing noise from the exhaust. I have it set to go at 5200rpms, maybe I should raise it.

Sounds like you need a better exhaust. lol. A good exhaust wont have any buzz sound to it at all.

If it sounded like a honda id get annoyed too.

If you dont want the VVL to go off say at partial throttle and so on then get yourself a standalone or some other type of trigger that uses a throttle input so that you have to be over a set throttle position as well as rpm for the VVL to trigger.

On my aem i can set it to trigger off rpm, load, throttle, and several other parameters such as not to come on until coolant temp reaches a certain point.

GReddy MSS is the best bet (barring stand alone) to get the desired operation as Ashton mentioned.

Only thing thing is, the MSS was discontinued by GReddy.

I actually have a 3" cat-back to Magnaflow muffler, it sounds decent just not at partial throttle when VVL engages
