Send the head to whoever you want pistons from and VOILA, like magicians they can create 88mm pistons.

You dont even have to do that, pretty much any company that makes pistons for the VE can make you custom 88mm pistons, how do you think everyone got 90 and 92mm pistons done. They didnt send in a head. They took what they knew and made the pistons to match the bore and did what they had to do to the dome to make the compression ratio come out right. Simple math and software.

There are no off the shelf HC 88mm pistons but they can do custom ones for roughly 100 bucks more than the off the shelf ones. No big deal.

My 88mm 12.5:1 with CPs is up and running as well. Going to the dyno in the next few weeks.

Correct.

My engine builder guy used to build the local Touring Cars over here and they've been running 88mm since back then in the early 90's. And he's build 100's of street motors for customers since then. Many have been 88mm. And no one has destroyed their blocks yet.
