Well it's been over a week, and after getting rid of that "Dex-Cool" coolant and replacing it with distilled water and an entire bottle of the water-wetter, I have had NO overheating problems. In the same 90, 92, 94 degree outside temps, in fairly hard driving and lots of idling in traffic at 4pm with the sun beating down. So it appears to me that Dex-Cool stuff is a no-no in the VE, at least in mine. I sort of grabbed the stuff at Autozone when I was in a rush, didn't read the label. (doh) Being scientific about it, I manipulated a variable (coolant type)- drove in a similar manner and fashion (to try to replicate the problem) with nearly identical environmental conditions (low to mid 90's temps) as to when the car fiirst began to overheat, and it seems to have solved the problem.

Once again, you guys come thru. Special thanks to Chris.

try Calling Al at HP Racing, since he stocks MT90, he might carry waterwetter.

i used to use that when i was in SoCal on 115 degree temp trackdays and it does work, its the real deal, and even back in the NB days been recommending it.

Kyle0968 used to have a few, pm him where he got his at.

Scientific method requires a control group. I am not sure you have a coolant problem. New or near new OEM thermostat and water pump. Make sure you got those.

Also like said the stock needle basically has 3 positions; cold, ok, and oh shit pull over.
