Yeah needs an NX radiator ideally all metal.

Coolant is pretty much coolant imo. The pink/orange stuff is backward compatible. You can try running less coolant and more distilled water but there's a point of diminishing returns and some trade-offs in that decision that you should understand.

I always recommend the use of Redline Water Wetter. Its not snake oil and the car will run a bit cooler. Plus it has a nice lubricant for the water pump.

also afaik the Tsuru grill will cause the car to run slightly hotter. A friend of mine (ie not me) once mentioned he used to remove his Tsuru grill when he ran at the track, which he never needed to do with the stocker. I have a VE/Tsuru grill on this car and a non-functioning temp gauge (I know I know), and I feel the car is running hotter in traffic than previous SE-Rs.

Skip the coolant, and run straight distilled water with Water Wetter. What most people don't realize is water has a higher thermal transfer rate than coolant. Also, make sure your cap is good, that's what determines the system pressure, and the higher the pressure, the higher your boiling point.

Okay, straight distilled water with the water wetter stuff. I believe they have that at Autozone.

p.s. I just checked again to make sure and the radiator fans did in fact come on after the car idled for about 10 minutes (it's about 90 degrees here)

Water Wetter is really easy to find, most auto parts stores carry it.

I think just 1 bottle yeah, but I'll let you know what it says on the back (usually says something about so much per quart of coolant capacity)

Yet another person to say chris is right. Antifreeze/coolant is at best a 50/50 out of the jug water to Antifreeze ratio. Antifreeze is more for cold temp, can do the same task to a certain point but temps like they have been the way to go is distilled water. Just make sure if youre from the north like myself to have that system well set back to around a 50/50 or more antifreeze than that before winter.
