Cam, cam, cam, cam, cam.

Cam selection/rocker ratio are of the largest advantages.

What if I told you there is a 315+ crank HP 2.0L VE around?

ITB, custom roller rocker setup, 15+mm lift cam.

Maybe Kelford will send me the latest graph/video.

At the end of the day power output= how much $ you want to spend.

Cause which engine is better at what? Ultimately making power therefore being faster right? Unless the op is saying better at gas milage or reliability etc.

Around here, most of the Integras and Civics just have just an intake and exhaust or something. So thats why this time it was such a suprise. I was like - why is this guy still next to me.. oh wait a minute.. ahhh shit! haha

Yup and that whats its all about at the end of the day.

( but they can be bored out to 2.6)

Remember they don't really have to pay for any R&D.... Mainly because there is probably a couple of big named companies making things before the motor is even out, so the Avg buyer like us don't have to spend Time and Money for R&D . R&D can sometimes cost more than anything....

but one thing I noticed between Avg Nissan Turners & Avg Honda Turners is we tend to be more technical and hands on than them. Sometimes that make us SR20 owners seem cheap, but in fact we are just do it our-selfers..

At a meet a couple of weeks ago I talked to this guy with a hooked up Civic(b18c swap) and he really didn't know to much about his own car. This is not the first time this happen. I never once met a Nissan Turner with alot in his car that didn't have some knowledge. I say 8 out of 10 VE swaps our done by there owners not a shop.

This is absolutely true.

8/10 Honda owners I know are in fact brain dead.

They can click buy it now and go fast. Some with 900whp+ civics.

It is even worst with NA. Buy the parts already made, Have someone put it together, take it to get tuned. Done

Nothing wrong with that. I just appreciate this platform/forum because of the drive to learn. Especially on our own.

I've seen some pretty reliable stroked SR's, while i'm not sure how reliable the VE is because i'm new to VE's or SR's for that matter.

I'm use to the RWD SR's and the guys who stroke those!

You do know that Rocco drove his ITB'd 2.4 from CT to OH and back to CT without a hiccup right? Pretty damn reliable to me......

That's a fluke!

Overbore / Stroker motors usually aren't any less reliable. I mean, your alternator probably went bad because it's a B13, not because there is a bigger hole inside the engine.
