K swaps are deadly in EG hatches.Theres a lot of guys now who have them running in the mid to low 13's with full interior and driving them as a DD setup. But they are very deadly when theyre gutted and only weigh around the 1,900lb to 2,000lb range. Insane power to weight ratio. but obviously, if youre going through the hassle of swapping a k series into the chassis, they are not just going to keep that motor bone stock; they're going to upgrade what they can (considering the aftermarket support on these motors) On top of that their trannys have superior gearing when compared to our trannys. We can build up our sr20's all we want, but there will always be a K-series out there that can walk our motors.
I really hate to say it, but honda made a damn good motor. even though the VE came out 3 years (iirc) before honda released the first of their K-Series.
