So tell me more about these combinations.

SR16VE head on a SR20VE block- What would be the parts needed to accomplish this? And what would be the power results?

SR16 cams in SR20VE/SR20VE with SR16 pistons- What would be the result of this? Powerwise.

SR16 head with a SR20VE block would be the same as putting SR16 cams on a stock SR20VE as the valve head is the same. I've read here on the forum close to 10whp gain with proper tune.

Adding SR16 pistons to the mix could probably yield another 10whp with proper tune.

But that's what I've read on these forums, so keep that in mind.

Cool story bro! Thanks. If I come across these parts, I will definetly combine them.

Yeah if you don't buy Andreas' 20V pistons just use your standard 16ve pistons with the 20ve crank and rods for some crazy compression You'd wanna have decent fuel...

Ive done a back to back test with both the SR 16 came in a stock sr20ve and gained a good 10whp. Also held power much better and this was all still on the Calum base map before tuning. Just moved the distributor a bit to aid upper rpm mower.

The pistons were good for 5-7whp on a sr20ve after retuning.

So, check this;
With an SR16VE, could you install an SR20 crank?
Or just the rods on the SR16 crank?

If you have good fuel, preferably e85, just wack an sr20ve or de crank and rods in with ne bearings. With e85 the 16ve pistons will be awesome, without they wont be much better

Couple questions:

1) Sr20de head & block; sr16ve pistons can be used with the sr20de rods?

2) Sr20de head & block; sr16ve pistons can be used, only issue is one would have to notch the pistons like so...?(http://www.sr20-forum.com/vvl/29377-any-pics-modified-16ve-pistons.html#post381381)

3) Would the bump in CR to 11.8 (using the sr16ve pistons), be too much to run s3 cams? we have 93 octane in my area, also have my timing set at 19
