I've used the Clutchmasters stage 3 segmented kevlar set up on my car without a problem, smooth engagement, slightly increased pedal effort over stock, and lasts very long.

That's not entirely true. The best clutch setup I ever ran was an Xtreme PP w/ street disc. 409 wtq and took it like a champ. Daily driven car. ACT at one point was a great option for our cars. It hasn't always been horrible for us.

I've seen the same steady stream of complaints about ACT for the past 11 years, and the same steady "mine didn't break" rebuttals. Yes, some people have no issues, but way too many others do. It's like they have a 25-35% failure rate, which is positively abysmal. Russian roulette has better odds. Nothing's changed from where I'm sitting.

25-35% failure rate? Is that a fact or something you made up? Lets not forget to factor in installer error into those inflated #s. it is only fair. As a benchmark compared to all other options, ACT was once the first or second viable option, because some of the other available options are worse.

25-35% is my best guestimation based on the amount of reported failures, versus the amount of reported successes (about 50/50) and trying to take into account that automotive communities like ours tend to see more failures reported than actually in the wild. Also using known recall numbers for OEM failures that see similar 50/50 good/bad reporting on automotive forums.

Installer error is already factored in (and negated) as Clutchmasters, and the JWT PP/B15 Disc combo would see the same failure rates if installer error were a factor.

I'm not saying the stats are accurate, but there was some thinking behind it at least.
