Yes, it will activate the vvl solenoid without any other external hardware.

I have used it on numerous cars without an issue!

i made more power on a g20 ecu/de maf/ ve injectors with boosted fuel pressure than i did with a jwt ecu/ve maf/ ve injectors. the car drove much better in every way with the g20 combination. and still got very good mpg's.

What you had set on FPR? And what power you made? Just curious.

Oh wow, does it matter what year g20 ecu? Cause i can get one easy from the yards. It didnt feel boggy with the g20 ecu? and then ill just put myminjectors back on and get a fuel pressure regulator?

i used the 96MT g20 ecu for the additional 300 rpm rev limit over the oem b14 ecu. the "somewhat controversial" results were posted, complete with dyno charts, over on the other forum several yrs ago. i think they may have been deleted though.
no, it didn't feel boggy. i set the timing to ~22* and fp to 50psi. she ripped ass to the 7500 limit!

Is it bad to up the timing to *22 and boost the fuel with the stock g20 ecu?
