Im getting good gas millage too. My buddies out here with Ve's and calum basics are getting lower millage than me. I think im honestly getting 25+ on a gallon

with de ecu you should run at least 20* base timing. don't worry about running lean, you have bigger injectors than the ecu "thinks" so you'll run a little on the rich side. but thats good cuz ve's love fuel. thats been proven by many of us. so POP that VVL and enjoy!

I was told to run DE injectors with the de ecu. Even if you run the VE injectors doesnt it still spray what the ecu tells them to?

They also know what they can do, and get on it more; thus lower mpg.

ECU sends a pulse to the injectors, telling them how long to stay open. It doesn't measure how much fuel is actually getting dumped.
A 333cc injector that pulses at the same rate as a 259cc injector will dump more fuel, simply because its supposed to(bigger holes for fuel to go through, per se)

i.e. run 20* timing if using the DE ecu with VE injectors

If I shift under 3k I get my mpgs.

i won't say you were told wrong. either way works but...under closed loop it'll run off the o2 sensor. during wot (open loop) the o2 sensor is not used. thats when it'll richen up and make more power.
i made more power on a g20 ecu/de maf/ ve injectors with boosted fuel pressure than i did with a jwt ecu/ve maf/ ve injectors. the car drove much better in every way with the g20 combination. and still got very good mpg's.

does Nismotronic b13 basic DE ecu does now support VVL? and it will activate the vvl without other switch... does anyone tried this one?

My ve ran like crap with 259cc injectors. I agree with Teal97. 20* base timing and 333cc injectors ran the best on the de ecu.

I still got the ve ecu my motor came with. Does anyone know if it would be a good idea to run that ecu?
