I have old stacks with 2 teeth of 3rd gear left if they are of any help. Theyre just taking up space in my spare parts tote in the back yard

So I got the gearstacks out along with the diff. Fucking nightmare. Thank god its a practice trans. Idk if I have the balls to do it to mine. So many variables.

WTF do we have to shim with the Mfactory?

Totally easy Bes. Bolts, Ring clip, up and turn 1 inch to the right, remove the small shaft holding the gear in the back, remove the shaft long holding the selector, remove the 3 bolts holding 1 stack, hold both stacks together and wiggle them up.

Yeah thats what I did. Its all out now and the bellhousing is empty. Now assembly is like wtfff. Lol

The thing that I don't get it what is getting shimmed? There is a whole lot going on inside lol

How much do you want Dave? I'll cover expenses to come up my way lol

No sure about the shimming either. If the gears are with the stack i can put it back together for you. I'm in CT(Norwalk) today and tomorrow before 3.

I wish. Brought the FD down to my buddies shop to see if the old time guy would be interested in at least swapping the gears over and he was like I'm not going to, lol. He referred me to this other shop and said tell them I was sent by him and that they should take care of me. Sucks!

You OD'ed on taking it apart. You didn't have to take out the small mechanism held by the 10mm bolts. If someone reassembles the gear stack i can put the tranny back together in under 5mins
