I don't think there is an 82mm crank in existence then. At least not in production that is going to be even moderately obtainable.

he's going to need to have deep pockets to have one made..

i for one would like a shorter crank on a dream build, but not 69mm short.. 82mm would seem like a good give-and-take.

I am also exploring changing the rocker ratio on the ve head. Has anyone attempted something like that? Maybe we can borrow rockers from a k20 Honda?

Go search MotoIQ - Automotive Tech, Project Cars, Performance & Motorsports mike kojima did a long rod short piston set up on a ve. Although id think a healthy oem ve will do what u want just fine. Maybe some mods to the oil and colling system and ur good to go.

Stratton.

A 2mm Negative offset grind of a 86 mm crank will give you your 82mm. You will however have a smaller journal than stock but you are going to use custom con-rods so that does not matter that much!

An SR16 crank with a 96mm bore would also work! :P

I don't know which side of the pond you are on but Farndon Racing Engineering here in the UK can do exceptional quality custom cranks
