Thats why im putting my motor in a B14 shell no nothing just a motor and me.
My last time at the track was
13.5 @103.6
2.00 60ft launch control was only at 5000rpm
M&H 23x7.5x15
the KILLER my car weighed 2,650lbs with me sitting in it.

I understand completely Macakin's car. That thing is an animal for a 2liter. I was saying as far as Pito's 2.2 vs Cory's 2.3. I would imagine on slicks his car would be right on point with corys old setup in which I was saying had bigger pistons with slightly lower comp, better header, IM, and I would say lighter shell.

Why do you say better header, better IM if you have not tested what he is using he is making more power than Cory's 92x86 on N1's and the 90x86 setup on Pito's car big power gains came from the ported head and lower runners of his IM matched to the head almost 20whp from that and lowering the CR a little bit to prevent detonation on pump gas that he uses...
Also the DRIVER of the car plays a big role on the times he's pulling 1.84 on the 60ft and he shifts like an automatic transmission jejejejeje

question for the PR boys...

did you ever use a 4-1 header before going with the b18 tri Y?

I was going more based on my opinion. Actually, I was wrong to say the header was actually better since it was small for a 2.3. The primaries probably are bigger on those tri-y's.

I didn't know he had a ported head. I thought top end was all stock.

The reason I said all this is we tested that setup out and we didn't like the results. The Xcessive plenum was a waste of time and the car sat on the dyno for pull after pull all night. We also had a B series tri-y header but it was also ditched. I was just surprised to see you guys have great success with them which is why I thought maybe altitude. Whatever it is, at the end of the day he is making moves. Good shit guys.

In all the cars we have tested the Xcessive plenum with the radius of the plate that comes with it fixed and matched to the VE runners it provide a solid 10whp gain over stock IM on a lot of different motors and setup tested.. Also the trick with the header its to leave the length of the piping as close to the original design as possible and the choke as it comes.. since if you shorten the secondaries it wont provide same results as longer ones..
Pito's car had problems on the first attempt on the 2.2 pistons slapped the head chamber sin a too thin HG was used still made 243whp and 184lb/ft after that he ported the head and worked the combustion chamber ans used a new thicker HG tuned the car and walla!!!! 258 on th first dyno session and on the next dyno session they worked with cam gears ans squeezed 4 more whp.. There its no magic and parts must be working and I donk think that numbers are that much affected by elevation at least car it running up to par on the whp it has...

True, its obviously working out good. I would love to see if your manifold will show gains. Anyways, keep it up boys. It will be nice to see some 11's on drag radials!
