Happynole's VE build
Thought it was time to start this up. Sunny is currently in CT at Deep HQ in Jamie's capable hands. Here is the plan:

Mazworx prepped SR16 block with full girdle
Castillo DE 8cw knife edged crank
Tomei rods
SR16 N1 pistons with Swain Tech GoldCoat on the domes and PC-9 on the skirts
DPR ported head with stock valvs and BC springs/retainers
Kelford 184c cams
Snickers ported N1 intake with an N1 tb
Snickers 4-1 "freak" header with 3" race exhaust
G Spec pullies
Calum realtime ecu
MSD digital 6 plus ignition
either Greddy MSS or MSD switch for VVL activation
and of course, a Marsh custom tune

Once assembled and broken in with a budget header, Jamie will be doing some header/collector testing that I am looking forward to.

Nice. So you are not going to punch out the block at all?

Very Nice!

Joe, I don't know if you remember but I built a very similar engine about 6-7yrs ago; sans the Tomei rods and Kelfords. I never even fired it up before I got bored and sold just about every B13/NX part I had.. well almost everything.

No need. I'm a track junkie at heart, not a street racer. Heck, this summer will be my first ever experience on a drag strip. This engine is designed to run for 20-30 minutes at a time with the fattest power band Jamie can get me.

Not until I'm done with your car.

Great build Joe. Only thing I would recommend is the mfactory final drive. As you know and saw, my old setup was similar to a point with your build. I loved how it pulled. It felt great up to 9k without a hiccup. The only thing is the factory trans is way too long to take full advantage of the motor. I personally dislike the sr16 trans as that 3rd to 4th is a killer.
