2.5" VS 3" For SR20VE ?

Just wondering what would be better. I currently purchased 4-1 P12 Headers with a 3" collector my my SR20ve. The motor will be run stock for a while until funds allow for N1 Cams. Would it be better to run 2.5" or 3" piping ?

I got 2.5. If is of had the money would gone 3.

3) "Exhaust" into the criteria or keyword.
