Sr20 DE ecu Into My Sr16ve Loom?
Looking to get an sr20 de Ecu with a nismotronic board to map my sr16ve!

The pin layouts seem to be very similar, can anyone confirm that it will work with not much butchering,

As in Buy the nismotronic , plug into my sr16ve VVL loom and just map from there? or will i run into troubles or what to expect

have a look at the two different pin outs pal ... 1-48 pins look identical

the other pins are specific to each chassis ... ie 16ve/gti/sentra

if i remember they are exactly the same, except for the vvl solenoids ... so just get an rpm switch

You should have no problem plugging the ecu in and disabling the sensors that you motor does not have.

The only modification to the harness will be moving the vvl solenoid wires and running them to the output you plan on using to control the vvl solenoids through the ecu.

I would suggest wiring them directly to the EGR output and then enable that pin in the software for vvl activation. Doing it this way means you have full control over vvl activation and it is all through the ECU.. no external switch is needed.

ive plugged a friend a mines de ecu into a sr16ve loom and just drove it. there was no issues sep for the vvl engagement as the de ecu dont allow this. maybe he can comment when he sees this topic
